 F8 NATIONAL STUDENTS’ PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION AND EXHIBITION
16th & 17th April 2015
GUIDELINES
  • F8: Fourth National Students' Photography Competition & Exhibition is open for entries from India only.

  • There is no participation fee in the competition.

  • Only individual entries are allowed.

  • Participants must send their original work.

 

PHOTO STORY
  • The story should consist of minimum 5 to maximum of 10 photographs.

  • There are 7 themes in the competition:-

1. Health

2. Environment

3. Gender Equality

4. Sports

5. Education

6. Tourism

7. Social Issues

  • The photo story should clearly define the theme (one out of seven themes given below).

  • The photo story should follow the rule of “one photo one caption.”

  • The caption should not be more than 10 words per photograph.

  • Editing of the photographs is strictly NOT allowed. There should be no watermark, copyright marks or identifying marks on the photographs.  

  • For our reference, one copy of the word file consisting the sequencing of the photographs along with captions must be sent as a part of the entry. (As referred in the sample)

  • The photographs must be numbered and mailed in the same sequence as they are in the story.

  • DEADLINE: 15 March 2015

School Category

  • 1. F8 Best Photo Story                                               10, 000 INR

Special Category (Voters’ Choice)

  • 1. Best Photo Story                                                    10, 000 INR

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  • FORMAT: .jpeg/.jpg.

  • MINIMUM RESOLUTION: The shorter side must be of minimum of 1.5 MB or 2000 pixels.

  • PHOTOGRAPHS DETAILS: Shutter speed, Aperture and ISO.

  • STUDENT ELIGIBILITY: Only students studying in any media/mass communication/journalism/film-making/ photography course from any recognized Government/Ministry approved Institute/Organization/College can participate in the competition.

  • All Delhi-NCR school students only from classes 11th & 12th are eligible to participate in the Student Category.

  • Entries will be judged on the basis of interpreting and expressing the theme, along with the technical aesthetics quality of the photo stories.

  • The decision of the jury will be final and binding.

  • For the voter’s choice category, the photo story will be uploaded on the FACEBOOK by our festival page.

  • The photo story getting maximum number of likes will be declared as a winner.

  • These photo stories will also be uploaded on the online photo sharing site FLICKR.

  • The winners for each category will be announced on the final day of the festival (17th April 2015, Friday) at the time of valedictory function.

  • The photographer must possess the negative/ raw file/ original format of the picture and should be able to present it, if required.

  • The entries will be used for festival promotions. FF team does not assume any responsibility for any violation of intellectual property of the participant.

  • Your submission will be a part of the first frame gallery.

  • MBICEM reserves all rights to accept and reject the entry without assigning any reason.

  • Any dispute relating to the photographs, photo story or the photographer and the institution where he belongs to, will not be entertained by first frame team.

  • If it is found that at any time (before, during or after the event) that any participant has made an attempt to forge the photographs or photo story, for submission, of any copyright owner, then the student and the institute will be blacklisted and debarred from participating in subsequent awards and edition of for all the times to come and such names will be on the website of the first frame.    

                   

HOW TO APPLY AND PARTICIPATE?

 

  • Download the Registration Form and Bonafide Certificate from our website.        

  • Fill the details, sign the forms and paste the photograph in the space provided.

  • Email the completed scanned forms along with your submissions latest by 15th March 2015 at 2015f8@gmail.com  Subject: Entry for F8 and your name.

  • Also attach a filled and signed bonafide certificate by the Director/Principal of your Institute/ College/ University/ School.
